In the rapidly evolving landscape of financial technology, innovative solutions are emerging to empower individuals to manage their investments with ease and confidence. This case study presents a fintech application designed to enable users to invest fiat currency, offering stable earnings through a fixed APY% compounded daily. The app simplifies the investment process, making it accessible to a broad audience, including tech-savvy young adults and older users seeking secure, regulated investment options. Originally created for a product designer test, I was so pleased with the outcome that I decided to showcase it here, with plans to expand and refine it further.

I was provided with a few wireframes and a desktop version as a starting point to develop high fidelity prototypes. My own liking for the dark modes in most of the apps I use was a big influence to come up with both light and dark versions of the design.

For this project, I selected Kanit as the primary typeface and Hind as the complementary typeface to create a modern and clean aesthetic. The color palette is anchored by two dominant colors: #132632, a deep, rich tone, and #D4FB55, a vibrant, contrasting hue. These colors were carefully chosen for their versatility, ensuring that the design looks equally striking and effective on both light and dark surfaces.

These are the wireframes I received to work from, and I had complete freedom to choose the colors and overall design.

My approach to the project involved expanding the menu and adding essential buttons such as „Wallet,“ „Search,“ „Transfer,“ and „Markets.“ I positioned the profile button in the upper left corner, as this is where users instinctively look for it. This design choice enhances navigation, making it more intuitive for all users, especially those who may not be as tech-savvy.

Conclusion

This case study highlights the design and functionality of a fintech application aimed at simplifying the investment process for users of varying tech proficiency. By prioritizing a modern UI/UX and intuitive navigation, the app effectively addresses the needs of both tech-savvy young adults and older users seeking secure investment options. The choices in typography, color, and feature expansion contribute to a user-friendly experience that enhances accessibility and engagement. Ultimately, this project underscores the importance of thoughtful design in creating financial tools that empower individuals to manage their investments confidently.
